30 July , 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Our children’s activities and library can be busy and noisy, so join us for a relaxed Summer Reading Challenge craft session away from the main floor – ideal for families who benefit from a calmer environment.
This flexible, music-themed craft activity takes place in our exhibition room with limited capacity. Families will have access to supportive resources including Sensory Explorer Bags (with ear defenders and fidget toys), a dark den for quiet breaks, and our Sensory Space.
While you’re here, you can sign up for the library and the Summer Reading Challenge – a fun, inclusive way to keep children engaged with books over the summer. Children can take part in different ways, including audiobooks, eBooks with audio, Story Sacks, Bag Books, and our main book collection.
Booking is required (one ticket per child). The session is flexible, so families are free to come and go as needed. As spaces are limited, please cancel if you can no longer attend. Siblings are welcome – please book a ticket for each child attending.
Families where parents or carers also have sensory needs are very welcome to book with their children.
New to the Sensory Space and library? Access for All webpage for video and picture guides, plus more information about our inclusive resources.
