As part of the picture books in the Children Area of Keynsham Library there is a section called Parachute Books – these are picture books that help young children get to grips with new experiences, fears and issues.
Mummy’s Suitcase is a book to help when Mummy goes back to work. The story revolves around the fact that Mummy is going away for three whole days! Ruby Roo knows that Mummy will miss home very much so she decides to pack Mummy’s suitcase will all the things that she loves the best.
So we follow Ruby Roo around the house and garden packing all of Mummy’s favourite things from the lawnmower, her easel to some chocolates!! Of course the main item is left right till the end!! A delightful book.
