I am not normally into murder mystery, but I was pushed to read this book by the Book Club I recently joined, and I am glad as this book is a real gem.
It is an easy read and the description of the English countryside with two opponent pubs and the psychological insight of the characters make it appealing for broader audiences. Jim Tiernan was murdered and detective Nicola Bridge is called to investigate.
Apparently, experts murder mystery readers can spot the murderer at the very beginning, but it is so well written that they felt compelled to keep reading the book.
Highly recommended.
