This is the first book I’ve read by Vanessa Greene, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I initially assumed it would be a light romance, but instead I found a warm and uplifting reminder of the importance of friendship. The story follows the lives of three very different women whose paths first cross at the Seafront Tea Room: Kat, a single mother struggling to make ends meet; Charlie, a journalist with a flourishing career but a faltering love life; and Seraphine, a French au pair torn between her own desires and her family’s expectations.
Together, they embark on a trip to review tea rooms to support Charlie’s work, and along the way they discover that their lives are more interconnected than they ever imagined.
Look out for the tasty baking recipes at the end of the book.
