Make a Jane Austen Bonnet

Instructions

You will need:

  • Bonnet Template (download here)
  • Scissors
  • Sellotape
  • Ribbon
  • Gems and decorations

  1. Print the template on to card or print on paper and trace on card.
  2. Fold the card along the 2 fold lines.
  3. Carefully cut the 9 slits one side and 1 slit the other side.
  4. Using the slits, carefully shape the 9 slit ends into an arch and tape into the chosen shape, to make the shape of the bonnet (see above).
  5. Tape the ribbon onto the bonnet on the marks indicated making sure you have enough to tie into a bow under your chin.
  6. Colour and decorate with chosen gems and decorations.
