The Summer Reading Challenge, organised by the Reading Agency, aims to promote reading over the summer holidays for children aged 4-11 to maintain reading levels, and it’s always really fun!
It runs from the 5th of July to the 13th of September.

When you sign up you’ll be given a booklet with information about the challenge, space for reviews and a large picture.
For every two books you read, you will earn a set of stickers that fit over the booklet picture.
Once you have read all six books you will have a complete picture, and you’ll be given a certificate and a medal!
Not sure what to read? Check out our kid’s book reviews!
This year’s theme is ‘Story Garden’ so over summer we will have loads of creative activities including crafting and storytelling!
The official website has more information about the challenge, recommended reads, activities, games and a digital version of the challenge: summerreadingchallenge.org.uk
