You will need:

• Red card
• Tissue paper in yellow, orange and red
• Decorative pictures such as dragons and pandas
• Scissors
• Glue
• Sticky Tape
• Help from a grown-up!

To make:

1. Fold the red card in half long-ways
2. Cut lines in along the fold to make ‘slashes’
3. Roll the card into a cylinder and secure with sticky tape (squish it down a bit so the slashes open up!)
4. Stick yellow tissue paper inside the lantern so it looks lit up by a candle
5. Make a colourful handle and decorate it with pictures and yellow streamers!
